Roozbayani
A yda Roozbayani (b. 1995, Tehran) is a visual artist investigating the psychological dimensions of space and the suspended nature of contemporary existence.
Graduating with a Bachelor's in Painting from Alzahra Art University, her practice oscillates between the figurative and the atmospheric. Her canvases are inhabited by solitary figures frozen in an ambiguous narrative—a wordless dialogue between belonging and placelessness.
"Space is the result of an unfolding of existence. The spaces in my collections are neither memories of the past nor images of the future; they are suspended moments in time: released into a wordless dialogue between things, between belonging and placelessness, in a stillness where lived bodies are sensed before the collapse takes over."
